The IACCMD was foundet in 1997 and covers the geographic area of Washington , DC , Baltimore , MD with a population of approximately 10 million people.

Baltimore is an independent city and the largest city in the state of Maryland in the United States. As of 2006, the population of Baltimore City was 640,961.The city is a major U.S. seaport, situated closer to major Midwestern markets than any other major seaport on the East Coast. Once an industrial town with an economic base in manufacturing, Baltimore's economy has shifted primarily to a service sector-oriented, with the largest employer no longer Bethlehem Steel but The Johns Hopkins University and The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Maryland is a state located in the Mid Atlantic region of the United States. It is comparable in size to the European country of Belgium. According to the most recent information provided by the U.S. Census Bureau, as of August 2007, Maryland is now the wealthiest state in the United States, with a median household income of US$65,144, ahead of New Jersey which had previously held that title.

In this important contest, the IACCMD arranges seminars and business meetings, provides information about Italy and the U.S.A.

The Goals of the IACCMD are to enhance business and trade between Italy and United States. We seek to contribute to the development of relations between the business communities in these Countries by providing business contacts and commercial information.

Our work on both national and international level helps support new and existing businesses in the Maryland area and beyond.

Our activities are in continual growth and, with our member's support we will continue to expand our association whitch presentlt numbers over 30 companies and individuals.

We are 501(c)6 non profit association for US and Italian companies who wish to do International business, technology and cultural exchanges between the two Countries. Our project are as diverse as our members and range from assisting small and medium sized manufacturers position their products in the foreign market.

IACCMD believes that the future belongs to individuals, private and puplic organizations that are able to establish and enhance communications in this global arena

IACCMD is well positioned to assist both Italian and American organizations in their endeavors. IACCMD is promoting connections with other Chambers of Commerce.
